Day 43

Research Log
Went out on another turtle walk last night. Didn't see any sea turtles. It's coming to the end of the leatherback season. At least I've seen one. They're critically endangered, so it's a real honour to be in the presence of such a creature. I did a lot of work on my paper and data today and went out looking for monkeys this afternoon, but to no avail.

Animal of the Day
Black butterfly
I couldn't find the scientific name of this insect, so what I'm telling you comes from reliable hearsay. This isn't actually a butterfly - it's a diurnal moth. So although it behaves like a butterfly, it is taxonomically a moth.
