Day 17

Research Log
06:00 to 16:00 walking the trails intermittently, with breaks for my foot. Didn't find any monkeys until I got back to base at 16:00 and found them in the trees outside the kitchen. Helped Alex do a snake measurement demonstration for the student group. Then Todd gave a talk about volunteer opportunities and careers in conservation. Then for the group's last night, we taught them salsa, merengue and bachata.

Animal of the Day
Halloween Snake - Pliocercus euryzonus
The Halloween snake is a coral snake mimic. It looks similar to a coral snake but is not venomous. Three guesses why it's called the Halloween snake.
