Today was a recuperation day from our 24hr journey to Costa Rica. Erica and I went canoeing down the canal this morning. I worked on logistics for the study this afternoon. Then we all went into the national park with another researcher who's working on recording accoustics as a measure of biodiversity.

Spectacled Caiman - Caiman crocodilus
Adults grow up to a metre long, but these hatchlings were tiny. They bask in the sun during the day and do most of their hunting at night.
